Home Buddies keeps “Fido” the king of his castle Camp Bow Wow offers in-home pet care service By Carrie Bishop • Today's Family Writer

Some parents will say everything they know about parenting they learned from their dog. Or cat. Or bird. Or whatever. Like kids, animals need love. Like kids, animals need food, water and basic hygiene. Like kids, animals need attention.
Camp Bow Wow, a premier dog daycare and overnight boarding facility in Highland Heights gets this. They love animals too. That’s why they’ve opened Home Buddies in-home pet service. It’s the next best thing to, well, mom and dad.
Home Buddies’ highly trained animal experts provide dog walking, pet sitting, poop scooping, vet visits, pet supply pick up services and more. It’s not just for dogs either.
We come to your house and not only take care of dogs, but cats, fish, rabbits, mice, and snakes. Any household pets you have,” says Amy Ryan, owner of Camp Bow Wow.
The service can be a godsend for pet-loving families, especially those with multiple critters because Home Buddies doesn’t charge by the number of animals. Instead the service charges for the amount of time it takes to do their work. Plus it keeps the pets in the comforts of their own home.
The complete in-home service can accommodate everything from mid-day to overnight needs. For instance, families can hire Home Buddies to regularly walk Fido for 30 minute adventures around his own sniffing grounds. Dog walkers are even sure to scoop poop along the way.
It also offers a complete pet sitting service so pets can enjoy a sort of staycation while the people of the house vacation. Animal experts will feed, love and cleanup after the critters during 30-minute visits. Of course overnight pet care is available for pets who need a little more attention. Caregivers will ensure the pets get a good night’s rest so they can be at their best in the morning.
Taking it one step further, Home Buddies is willing to valet pets to and from a groomer and pick up and deliver food and pet supplies to the critter’s home. Vet visits are even on the menu. For busy families, and what family isn’t these days, Home Buddies can truly save the day and help keep pets happy and healthy.
Some pets have special needs and that’s okay. Home Buddies staff is well-trained and capable of providing special need animals the extra care they require, be it medication or special feedings. Ryan says the caregivers are all certified in pet CPR and she won’t hire anyone without significant experience and who isn’t dedicated to taking care of the pets.
“Our main focus is the happiness and well-being of pets. I have four dogs myself and they are my life,” Ryan says. She knows others are just as crazy for their pets as she is of hers.
